Introduction
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of ETD Instructor (Conventional Mining), to be based at Training Academy near Carletonville, Gauteng. The successful candidate will report to the ETD Officer (Conventional Mining).
Description
The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position.  Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) candidates.  Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.



Profile
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Certificate: Occupationally Directed Education Training & Development Practices (NQF Level 4)
  • Assessor Certificate
  • Computer literate proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Team Leader Certificate (Conventional) -  MQA/MRC Equivalent
  • Communication skills in English
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
  • At least 1 year technical skills experience in scope of instruction
  • At least 3 years' Instructor training experience in scope of instruction
  • Experience in the facilitation of  a training cycle
  • Experience in learner portfolio management
  • Must be fit to work underground
  • Must not have a criminal record


      The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
  • Cost containment through proper planning
  • Effective self-management in alignment with M&RC's values and leadership initiatives
  • Effective stakeholder engagement that ensures sound relationships built on trust with team and site employees to facilitate and deliver full performance
  • Effective planning and organising of assessment deliverables, on target, as defined by the training service level agreement for the specific project
  • Demonstrated fairness and safety in the preparation and conduction of assessments
