Truck Driver - Code 14 needed




Introduction

Our Client is looking for a professional truck driver code 14 to join their team, job requires one Secure transportation, loading & offloading of products from/into trucks as per instruction without compromising of Food Safety or Quality.



Requirements


Valid Code 14 Driver’s License with no endorsements
Knowledge of routes in Cape Town, specifically Paarden Eiland, Montague Gardens, Southern and Northern Suburbs
Valid senior certificate
Must be literate
Attention to detail


Experience

Experience with cold storage trucks advantageous
5 years proven track record of driving 14 ton trucks


Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities

Inspecting vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues and preventative maintenance
Drive the vehicle in a safe manner and abide by the rules of the road
Ensure the safety of the merchandise on the truck
Adhere to delivery routes and delivery times
Ensure documentation is completed correctly
Adhere to any rules pertaining to the receiving areas’ of customers / suppliers
Ensure Food Safety and Quality Procedures are adhered to
 Assisting with manual loading / offloading of stock as required by customer’s / suppliers
